Need some SR/240 help...

Got a few things I need to get done. Let me know if you have experience.

1)Replacing Rack and pinion
2)Installing Z32 MAF
3)Making stock 240 tach work with SR.

Need to get this stuff done. Any help would be appreciated.

there are two that are on the rack one has a point in it the other is a circle. i have the one with the point. try to find the circle one. its easy to change with the rack on the car so im told but i did mine when i put in a new rack

for an 89 you have to remove the cluster and replace the sohc tach with a dohc from another car

Like others have said you just need a DOHC tach or SR tach and it works fine.

USDM speedo and JDM tach also work ok...that's what I did with my car back in the day.

If you want your tach to work all you have to do is take the tach out of the dohc cluster, make sure you pull out the screws(doch) out of the cluster as well as they are really important for the tach to work. Then trim the tach to fit your cluster and install the doch tach using the screws from the doch cluster and put it in the sohc cluster. But im sure michael knew that hope this helps

you have to adjust a potentiometer( sp) to a certain resistance to get this to work.. or solder a resistor in or something.. i did mine using a faq from freshalloy.. when youre done you should have a speedo that reads up to 180

your talking about making the jdm speedo read in mph. thats cool and all but the car doesn't have the gearing to go that fast. it will however bury the needle of the usdm speedo

we are working on it all day tomorrow to get it ready for tomorrow night. If anyone wants to help, give me a holla. 317-3228.

There wasnt anything wrong with the rack, just wasnt tightened. Got everything running on the t25 last night and drove it a mile or two. Its ready for an upgrade now.
