2001 Chevy Silverado LS VS LT
The old 2001 Chevy Silverado came with three trim levels which included the mid-range LS, high-end LT, and the base truck. The base truck was a standard unit without frills. Meanwhile the LS and LT series comes with option and equipment packages.
LS VS LT Comforts?
The Silverado LT was featured with a standard bench which could bring three passengers. There was also 60/40 extended items. Meanwhile, the crew cab version could add up to six people. Both LT and LS had premium cloth for the upholsteries, but the LT got more updates with bucket seats along with crew cab which could bring fie people. The leather seats were awesome that had 10 ways of adjustments. The front passengers’ and driver’s seats had seat back and heated cushions feature. Meanwhile, the regular series came with regular cab with a full bench seat.
LT VS LS Interior
The Chevy Silverado LS was designed with the conveniences of the standard which included compass, a panic alarm, cruise control, and also anti-theft device. For the high-end version, the LT was supported with the same conveniences too but it got more features with the two-stage power door locks.
In the interior design, LS came with tachometer, voltage gauge, water temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, low fuel warning, seatback, vanity mirrors, tilt steering wheel, seatback storage pockets, cup holders, radio clock, plastic gearshift knob, and under-seat ducts,
For the LT series, it came with the same equipment but it was added with the auto-dimming day-night rearview mirror and also the leather steering wheel. Overall, the Silverado looked like identical sibling but the LT series got the more luxurious touch.
LT VS LS Exterior and Power
The LS models had 195-horsepower 4.3 liters V-6. However, the manufacturer offered an option with 285-horsepower 5.3-liter V-8. Meanwhile, the standard model for the LT trim was 5.3-liter V-8. Meanwhile, for the 2500 HD and 3500 HD for each LS and LT received 300-horsepower 6 liters V-8 engine. The LT series is featured with four-speed automatic transmission and the LS ones came with the standard five-speed manual transmission.
For the exterior design, the LT model is supported with colored moldings, chrome bar, chrome inserts, tinted windows heated door mirrors, fender flares, soft tonneau cover, dual daytime running lights, and also 16-inch chrome steel wheels. Overall, the exterior design for the LT version is similar to LS. Only LT’s darker window tinting and 16-inch alloy wheels which make it different from the LS version.
Entertainment – LT VS LS
LS and LT versions only came with standard entertainment features which included AM/FM radio, single-disc CD player, automatic equalizer, six speakers, automatic volume control. Meanwhile, LT received other equipment such as a cassette player which also includes the CD player.
