The Latest Aston Martin DB11
The new sports coupe off Aston Martin DB11 has started receiving pre-orders for the supercar. In the US market the novelty will be offered at the price not less than 212.000 dollars.
However, according to the local media, the price of the coupe Aston Martin DB11 can increase significantly if the customer wishes to complement the vehicle’s equipment list with the optional functions or accessories from Aston Martin Q catalog. First North American customers will receive their cars in early spring this year.
Under the hood of the novelty there is a powerful 5.2-liter 12-cylinder engine equipped with the system Start / Stop and cylinder deactivation function. Power plant is able to generate 600 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. Acceleration of the car from zero to hundred km / h takes just 3.9 seconds. Maximum speed of sports coupe is 322 kilometers per hour.
The photo spies have seen the test group of three Aston Martin DB11 Coupes complemented by one model with a camouflage cover in Sweden. Most likely, this is S modification equipped by 5.2-liter V12 Twin Turbo engine, which will deliver a better output than the standard model (608 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque). According to paparazzi, the motor of the charged novelty sounds like a brutal roar.
As for the exterior design, the modified coupe differs primarily by aero parts. The designers have also added an unusual curved splitter and gills on the wings in front and large side skirts, as well as a diffuser dominated at rear. The roll bar located behind the Recaro sport buckets instead of rear seats will be necessary only during the tests. The carmakers worked on the car’s hood making its different. They proposed a horizontal edge and catches, which will not appear in a production version. The air intakes will occupy their usual place.
At first sight it may seem that the new Aston Martin DB11 Volante is ready to be launched into a series production. But if you look closely, you will notice that the rear panel is completely hidden under the camouflage. Several additional disguising panels are located on the rear part of the body, the place where the folded soft top will be situated, and where we are waiting for some changes.
Under the hood of the novelty there will be the same 5.2-liter V12 bi-turbo power unit developing an impressive 600 hp (447 kW) and 700 Nm of torque. From 0 to 100 km / h is in 3.9 seconds, but the open version will be heavier, and therefore more slowly – its acceleration will take by about 0.2 seconds. Increased weight will have a negative impact on the maximum speed of the coupe – it will be 322.
In addition to the powerful V12 engine, the 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo Mercedes-AMG will be available. The strongest version of this motor placed in the engine compartment of E63 S produces 603 hp (450 kW) and 850 Nm. The manufacturer has already announced that Aston Martin DB11 Volante went on sale in spring 2018.
